Policy for Kickiko
Privacy policy
In short
- Your record of movements, counts and notes never leaves your phone, except in Android's own backup, which we can't see.
- Ads in Kickiko are never personalised, and nothing about your pregnancy is shared with advertisers.
- Your watch and phone talk directly to each other; nothing goes to us.
- There are no accounts, and we don't sell data.
1. Who we are
Kickiko is made by Syaafi Labs (Syaafi Labs Enterprise). Questions about this policy: support@syaafilabs.com.
2. Your record
The movements you log, timed counts, notes, your due date, babies' names and your settings are kept in Kickiko's private storage on your phone. They are not uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we never see them.
They are included in Android's own backup to your Google account (if backup is on in your phone's settings) and in phone-to-phone transfer, encrypted with your screen lock, so a new phone gets them back. That backup is between your phone and Google; we can't read it.
If you save or share a PDF or spreadsheet, it goes only where you choose. Anyone with the file can read it.
If you tell the app your pregnancy has ended, it stops every reminder and asks whether to keep, save or delete the record. Nothing about this is sent anywhere, including to our analytics.
3. Ads in Kickiko
Because a pregnancy is health information, every ad request Kickiko makes is non-personalised. Nothing you log is ever shared with Google AdMob or any advertiser. Ads appear only on the Pattern and Record screens, never while you count.
4. Wear OS
If you use the watch tile, your phone and watch exchange today's count, the last time, a running count and your babies' names directly over Google's Wear OS connection. Taps made on the watch are sent to your phone and saved there. Nothing goes to us.
5. Notifications and the lock screen
Kickiko shows only a daily reminder (if you turn it on) and a running timed count. On the lock screen they say only "Kickiko · a reminder" or "Kickiko · counting", unless you allow details in Settings.
6. Permissions
Notifications (optional): asked when you turn on the reminder or a count first needs it. Vibration: for the buzz on each tap. The app has no storage, phone-call, contacts or location permission; files are saved with Android's own file screens.
7. Feedback
If you send feedback from Settings, we receive your message, its type, your email if you give it, the app version, Android version, phone model and language. We use it only to answer you and improve Kickiko, keep it for up to 12 months, and never sell or share it. Your IP address isn't stored with it.
8. Ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives an approximate location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic information. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and some US states), you are asked for consent first. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices. A Premium subscription in the app turns ads off.
How Google uses this data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
9. Purchases
Premium is a subscription (US$2 a month or US$20 a year) sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment and the renewal, and you can cancel any time in Google Play. Kickiko only learns whether your subscription is active.
10. Children
Kickiko isn't directed at children under 13.
11. Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
