Policy for GIF Maker
Privacy policy
In short
- Your videos and photos never leave your phone.
- The app saves new GIFs and MP4s. Your originals are never changed.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. You choose what it may use in Settings.
- There are no accounts, and we don't sell data.
1. Who we are
GIF Maker is made by Syaafi Labs (Syaafi Labs Enterprise). Questions about this policy: support@syaafilabs.com.
2. Your videos and photos
You pick videos and photos with Android's photo picker, or share them into GIF Maker. They are turned into GIFs on your phone and are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Your originals are not changed. GIFs are saved to Pictures/GIF Maker and MP4s to Movies/GIF Maker on your phone.
While a GIF is being made, its frames are kept in the app's private temporary storage. They are deleted when the job ends.
3. Recent GIFs
The app keeps a list of your last 50 GIFs and MP4s (the file name, size and date) on your phone, so you can find them again. When you remove one from the list, the app asks whether to delete the file too.
4. Permissions
Notifications (optional): asked the first time you make a GIF, to show the progress while it is made in the background and to tell you when it's ready.
The app has no storage permission. It has no access to your gallery or files beyond the videos and photos you pick or share.
5. Sharing
GIFs and MP4s leave the app only when you tap Share and choose where to send them.
6. Feedback
If you send feedback from Settings, we receive your message, its type, your email if you give it, the app version, Android version, phone model and language. We use it only to answer you and improve GIF Maker, keep it for up to 12 months, and never sell or share it. Your IP address isn't stored with it.
7. Ads
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address (which gives an approximate location), how you interact with ads, and diagnostic information. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and some US states), you are asked for consent first. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › Ad privacy choices. A Premium subscription in the app turns ads off.
How Google uses this data: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
8. Purchases
Premium is a subscription (US$2 a month or US$20 a year) sold through Google Play. Google handles the payment and the renewal, and you can cancel any time in Google Play. GIF Maker only learns whether your subscription is active.
9. Children
GIF Maker isn't directed at children under 13.
10. Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
