- Free · Premium from US$2/month
- No pop-up ads
- Codes never expire
What it does
Swipe · 6Every scan shows what the code holds, with the actions that fit: join Wi-Fi, save a contact, call, open a map. Nothing opens by itself.
Three steps
Point the camera
The app opens straight onto the scanner. Or use the Quick Settings tile, or scan from a photo.
Check what it is
See the content, the real website in bold and any warning, before anything opens.
Act on it
Open the link, join the Wi-Fi, save the contact, or copy and share. The code is kept in your history.
Privacy
- Codes are read on your phone. Nothing you scan is uploaded.
- History stays on your phone, is left out of backups, and can be turned off.
- The camera is used only while the scanner is open.
- The free version shows banner ads from Google AdMob, never on the scanner or a scan result. You can change your ad choices in Settings.

Questions
Something missing? Send feedback →Does TrueQR tell me a link is safe?
No app can promise that. TrueQR shows the real website and warns about common tricks, and links open in a browser tab where your browser's own protection, such as Chrome's Safe Browsing, applies. The final call is yours.
Will the codes I make stop working?
No. Codes made in TrueQR are static: everything is inside the code, with no redirect server. They work without the app and never expire.
Why doesn't it read barcodes?
TrueQR reads QR codes only. That keeps the scanner focused and avoids false reads.
What does Premium add?
No ads, plus logo, gradients and photo backgrounds, large and print sizes, SVG and PDF, printable sheets, bulk create from CSV, and CSV export. It's a subscription, US$2 a month or US$20 a year, that you can cancel any time; scanning, every code type, templates and frames stay free, and codes you made keep their style.
