Questions
Something missing? Send feedback →Why doesn't it list every PDF on my phone?
That needs "All files access", which lets an app see all your files. PDF Reader doesn't ask for it. Open a PDF from any app with "Open with", or use Browse PDFs, and it appears in Recent.
Can I search or select text?
No. PDF Reader uses Android's built-in PDF renderer, which can't search, select text or add notes.
Why does it keep a copy of some files?
Some apps only let PDF Reader open a file for a short time. So the file still opens from Recent later, the app keeps a private copy. The copy is deleted when you remove the file from Recent.
